In our previous Clef Edit, we revealed the ways to maximise the instant hydration effect of the Potato Mask for those with dehydrated skin. This article, however, is written for those who struggle with skin redness or easily-reddened skin.
Even when well-hydrated, our skin can become feeble due to damage from environmental aggressors such as UV rays, blue light, and dust. When our skin is triggered by environmental aggressors, it tends to protest by displaying red patches on our faces, which may also come with irritation.
To soothe that redness, try using the Pomegranate Instant Calming Mask. In less than 30 minutes of application, it gives your face a brighter tone by diminishing the redness from skin inflammation. Bonus perk: it also strengthens your skin barrier, indirectly reducing the likelihood of your skin getting irritated later on.

When should I use it?
1. Whenever your skin turns red physically, feels “raw”, or starts to itch, due to the following:
- Sunburns
- After a minor cosmetic procedure
- After a laser treatment
- After a facial treatment
2. Once daily, at night to relax and heal your skin from inflammation triggers you’ve been exposed to throughout the day:
- Long duration of sun exposure (UVA)
- Blue light from electronic devices (UVB)
- Micro-pollutants in the air
How do I use it?
For best results, apply the Pomegranate Instant Calming Mask at night after cleansing. With the accompanying spatula, spread a generous amount of the mask onto your entire face.
Allow the mask to sit on your skin for 20 to 30 minutes. (However, if you are on the oily and acne-prone skin spectrum, do not leave the mask on for more than 15 minutes) Then, rinse the mask off with warm water.
Bonus: Combination Skin
If some parts of your face struggle with redness, while other parts feel dehydrated, you can use different masks on different parts of your face!
The whole appeal of a wash-off mask is its flexibility— you can control the amount, thickness, and where to apply it.
Do take note of the application duration, though. The Potato Instant Hydrating Mask should only be left on for a maximum of 15 minutes.
